well-known for its rice and Paella based on ingredients from marisco over agricultural products to chicken, rabbit, snales, etc., but
as well Arrós al Forn, Arroz a Banda, Arrós Negre and Arroces Caldosos. But not everything is
rice in Valencia: The Fideuá replaces this ingredient by small noodles. |

The All y Pebre is a typical plate from the
island El Palmar in the Albufera, based on young eeles, garlic,
pepper and potatoes. The Horchata de Chufa from Alboraya is the most refreshing drink accompanied by

The old town
Barrio del Carmen preserves rests
of the medieval walls surrounding the town pointing out the Torres de Quart and Serrano. The Plaza
de la Virgen concentrates some of the most
representative monuments like the cathedral with its beltry Miguelete and the Basílica of the Virgen de los Desamparados. |

In Valencia
traddition and avantguard live together as been proven by the former river
bed of the Turia, where you can visit the City of Arts and Sciences and
therein Europe's biggest aquarium L´Oceanografic. Nearby, the giant Gulliver
offers adventure and fun to the Kids. Between the museums the IVAM was the first one for contemporary
art in Spain. Friends of nature can enjoy the Jardines
del Turia or Viveros, the Jardín Botánico or the Albufera natural park. |

Many Thanks for these beautiful days in Valencia. Even the contact was
already a very welcome surprise. Nobody would expect such a price and even
less such a concession, such kindness and such a good service. All this was
then surpassed by the apartment itself! Very, very nicely decorated and
extremely clean provided with a super fundamental equipment, anything
required is available. The situation was just super, close to town and beach.
Major grocery stores just around the corner, great restaurants no more than 5
minutes away, and ist not far to the beautiful clubs in Valencia. In
conclusion, all I can say: It was feeling well like at home, only with a much
better weather and also an unbeatable price-performance ratio. |

this apartment you'll feel instantly at home. Beautifully furnished with all
necessary extras such as dishwasher, microwave and air conditioning. Both
beach and a supermarket are just around the corner, and a subway station as
well as a bus stop not far from the cozy apartment. From there you can easily
get into the historic city center, the airport or the shopping center, as
well as to the technology city of Arts and Sciences (Ciudad de las Artes y
las Ciencias). Besides numerous restaurants and bars at the promenade, there
are some small (and much cheaper) restaurants in the near surroundings, eg on
the way to the beach. In any case, for young people aged 18 and more, the
chic and sophisticated disco "Las Ánimas" at the port is
recommended. The landlady Maria is very straightforward and sincere, and has
an open ear for all the questions. Thank you for these wonderful holidays! |

"Hello Maria, here we are back in our own home in Yorkshire, and in true
British tradition it has been raining,... We had a good holiday in Valencia,
which is a lovely city, we especially liked the Turia gardens and of course
Gulliver, the Oceanographic was interesting. The buildings of the City of
Arts and Sciences are amazing and I think we have many photos of them from
different positions. The children enjoyed running through the Umbracle. We enjoyed time on the amazing beach, it's
huge! and we got very tired climbing 207 steps to the top of the bell tower
at the cathedral, but were rewarded with fantastic views of the city. |

We had fun
on a family bicycle in the Turia gardens and enjoyed a stroll around the port
after the children played in the park there. I wish to say a big Thank You
for your tips and advice on things to do in the city and places to visit as
they were all great. And the Map you
gave us with the bus routes on was invaluable, we used it every day to get
from one place to the next, I found it in my suitcase at home and it made me
smile as it is very worn out, because it has been opened and looked at so
many times. We hope to visit Valencia again to see the things that we have
not had time to do and of course to see our favorite places again. The house
on Escalante street is lovely with all the conveniences we could wish for and
